Trine delegates shine

Two earn CIC Scholarships

Six Trine University delegates joined Trine assistant professor Darryl Webber in attending the Foundry Education Foundation (FEF) College Industry Conference in Chicago last month, with two, Zachery Borton and Ben Gadomski, receiving CIC Delegate Scholarships.

Borton and Gadomski, both senior mechanical engineering majors in the Wade Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, received part of $54,000 in special scholarships given to FEF accredited schools at the conference. The conference is for student delegates, professors and industry leaders in metal casting.

Trine was among selected North American colleges and universities to be part of the event, and is one of only 25 in the world with FEF accreditation. Graduates from FEF-accredited schools are highly sought by the cast metals industry.
