Your Next Steps

Here are your next steps in becoming a Trine University Peoria student:

√ Apply online

  • Have your high school send an official, high school transcript
  • Send your official ACT and/or SAT test scores if they aren't on high school transcript
  • Have each college you have attended send us your official transcript(s)
  • You will receive an official admission decision within two weeks of receiving all scores and grades
  • Transfer credit evaluations can be completed after you've applied online and after your official transcripts from all colleges you've attended are received

√ File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

  • File online at fafsa.gov on or after Jan. 1
  • Trine code for FAFSA is 001839.  (Please note this is the correct code for all Trine campuses regardless of location).
  • Make Trine your No.1 school selection on the FAFSA

√ Visit Trine campus

  • Contact our Visit Coordinator at 855.997.7701 or by email to peoria@trine.edu
  • Appointments are available Monday through Friday

√ Accept financial aid award letter

  • Log in at mytrinefa.trine.edu with information provided on award letter
  • Access and accept your awards online

√ Make a decision

  • Review transfer credit evaluation and contact the campus with any questions (It is important to understand how many credits can be applied toward your major at Trine University)
  • Compare financial aid award letters
  • Contact the schools that you've chosen not to attend

√ Complete enrollment agreement

√ Complete student account authorization

√ Meet with your advisor and get registered

√ Order books

√ Attend student orientation

√ Activate Trine email account

√ Financial aid odds & ends

  • Verify that all documents have been signed and completed

√ Fall bills are due on or before first day of class

√ Access course information in Moodle

√ Start classes
