Transition to Teaching Programs (T2T)
Trine University's Transition to Teaching (T2T) elementary and secondary programs are for individuals who have completed degrees in fields other than teacher education. An application for the T2T program may be submitted when all prerequisites are met.
Trine University offers the following approved undergraduate teacher preparation programs: elementary education (K-6), health/physical education (K-12), mathematics education (5-12), life science (biology) education (5-12), chemistry education (5-12), and social studies education (5-12). The T2T option is offered for all programs except for elementary education/special education mild intervention dual licensure (K-6) and health/ physical education (K-12).
The T2T elementary program includes 24 semester hours of coursework and field experiences spread over three semesters. The secondary T2T program includes 18 semester hours of coursework and field experiences spread over three semesters.
