Northeastern Indiana Tri-State Regional Science Fair

Judging

What do judges look for?

Judging will be from 8:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 4. All exhibitors must be with their exhibits during this time.  Only the exhibitors, judges, and fair officials will be permitted in the exhibit area during this time.

The projects may be set up Friday, March 3 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and/or Saturday, March 4 from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. All set-ups must be completed by 8:30 a.m.

The Science Fair is an educational experience as well as a contest, and the interview with the judge is an important part of this experience. The decision of the judges will be final.

Criteria for judging include scientific thought, originality, thoroughness, technical skill, and clarity.  A more extensive listing of these criteria may be obtained from the School Coordinator or the Regional Director.
