Where's Brandi Wilcox?
Brandi Lynn Wilcox, a 2011 accounting graduate, is preparing to travel to 11 countries in 11 months to share the love of Jesus through The World Race. According to the organization′s website, the "first World Race squads launched from Mexico in January 2006. Literally knocking on doors and sleeping on streets, it was a raw adventure of faith."
For nearly a year, she will serve alongside a team of over 70 other people between the ages of 21–35. "I feel that my life calling is to go into full–time missions," Brandi′s website says. "World Race will give me the opportunity to experience different types of cultures, people, groups and ministry."
Brandi spent last summer in Kenya and participated in multiple missions through Christian Campus House, one of Trine′s many student organizations. When she returned to the states, she knew her mission work wasn′t complete. She was introduced to World Race through a number of channels and began pursuing it. The program is costly – about $15,000 – but at the beginning of April she had already raised just over $10,000.
"The World Race will give me the opportunity to experience many different types of ministry to see what it is that God is calling me to do full–time," Brandi said.
