FEATURE STORYHaving the neighbors – lots of them – in!The new Zollner Athletic Stadium, the centerpiece of the university′s athletics, will open for the fall football season. Trine Athletics has invited the public to Community Night to see the first game under the new field lights, a contest against Manchester College, on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices will be reduced in celebration of the historic event. |

Can you make a raft out of four plastic straws and a small, lightweight sheet of aluminum foil and build it strong enough to carry 180 pennies without sinking?
It was an excellent day for socializing, reminiscing and golfing at the 20th annual Alumni & Friends Scholarship Golf Outing on Friday, Aug. 6. This year′s event raised $68,000 for student scholarships. 
Some of this year′s highlights include the Homecoming Dinner on Friday night, where you will see fellow alums receive honors and awards, enjoy an excellent dinner, hear the Trine University Jazz Band and enjoy plenty of time to reminisce with friends and former professors.

Three new coaches highlight the fall sports season for Trine. Nancy Plantz will lead the new field hockey program into its inaugural season. Van Brandt will take the reins of women′s golf, and Jamie Wozniak will coach volleyball.
Leticia and Veronica Becerril traveled from their native Mexico in the mid–′90s to earn degrees at Tri–State. Check out what they have been up to since.
