New faculty come on board

Trine University is welcoming new professors this year.

Catherine Benson will head the golf management program, replacing program founder Bill San Giacomo.

Mark Helmke, Toby Swick, David Anspaugh, Roberto Soto and Roberto Odemba will join the Ketner School of Business.

Prashanth Karra, Ph.D. will join the mechanical engineering faculty in the Allen School of Engineering and Technology.

Timothy Jenkins has accepted a position as a design engineering technology faculty member, replacing Thomas DeAgostino, who is now heading the university’s Innovation One initiative.

Hong Yue has taken a position in the mathematics department in the Jannen School of Arts & Sciences.

David Colbert has been hired as a new faculty member, as a result of the growth of the university’s English as a Second Language program.

Amanda (Portis) Malefyt will join the chemical engineering faculty.


Adult learners could save thousands

Trine′s School of Professional Studies recently implemented changes that will save adult learners at its regional learning centers branch and virtual campuses thousands of dollars over the course of their education.
