Homecoming promises to be best yet

Homecoming at Trine University is just around the corner, and you are invited to come home and celebrate this year’s theme, “Sharing Stories and Making Memories.” This year will prove to be better than ever beginning Friday with the celebration of the 50th class reunion and several on-campus happenings for all alumni. You do not want to miss the excitement!

Friday evening, join fellow alumni at the homecoming celebration. Enjoy food stations prepared by Bon Appetit, entertainment by Midwest Dueling Pianos, and visit different stations where you can share your stories from years past, and make memories of your time at "home." After the celebration, join students, staff and fall student-athletes at a pep-rally bonfire and for fireworks.

Saturday morning, arrive early for the inaugural 5k run/walk that is being hosted by the Department of Exercise Science. Then, take your family to Thunder Park on the Stewart Hall Lawn to enjoy some family friendly inflatables and games.

Be sure to schedule time during the weekend to visit Wells Gallery in Taylor Hall to view and experience The Remnant Trust. This exhibition, on loan to Trine from The Remnant Trust, Inc., features a growing collection of manuscripts, first- and early edition pieces, and early works dating as early as 3000 B.C.

To wrap up the weekend, head over to Zollner Athletic Stadium where the Thunder football team will play host to conference rival Kalamazoo College at 1 p.m.

With such a full schedule of events, Homecoming 2013 is one you will not want to miss. We hope to see you on campus, “Sharing Stories and Making Memories.”
