Trine's annual holiday jazz concert and display of trees kicked off the holiday season on Dec. 2

Concert-goers enjoyed seasonal songs by Trine’s Jazz Bands and Percussion Ensemble in Fabiani Theatre in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center.

Visitors were also treated to 36 trees decorated and illuminated for the holidays by Trine student groups and departments. All trees were donated to Project Help of Steuben County for distribution to area families in need. A tree that stood out was one in shades of teal decorated by the Business Office. Spikes flowed from the top of the tree, making it appear taller than the other trees. Gold ribbon wound its way around the tree, highlighting shiny teal orbs and accents. Be sure to check out the complete list below of groups and offices that decorated trees.

Immediately after the concert, Bon Appetit offered a holiday dinner in Whitney Commons, also in the university center.

At the door, concert-goers could donate dish soap, Pine-Sol, scouring powder, facial tissues and shower cleaner. All items were donated to Turning Point Homeless Shelter.
