A Visit to Campus
My wife, Mary, and I have visited Trine within the last couple of years. We are proud contributors and supporters of Trine. I feel so honored that our granddaughter, Allie Buttery, decided to enroll at Trine. She is a sophomore majoring in golf management and is a member of the Thunder women’s golf team.
The campus is certainly a must-see for alumni to visit since our days at TSU. The campus is most impressive.
A couple of years ago, Mary and I helped our granddaughter unload and get settled in her room. We have enjoyed visiting Trine and will continue to do so. We are looking forward to 2012 when Trine University will host the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf National Championship.

Congratulations to Stephen Young, BA ′77, who was selected at random for answering last issue′s trivia question correctly. The band STYX played in Hershey Hall in 1975.
In this issue, you will be tested your skills on famous campus faces.
Can you name the man who is the historian emeritus from Tri-State College, Tri-State University and Trine University?
He recently retired after serving the university for 27 years. This gentleman graduated in 1948 with a bachelor′s degree, was the mayor of Angola, served as director of alumni and development, was a member and advisor for Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, received the prestigious Pillar of Success award and received an honorary doctorate from Tri–State University in 2005. The university thanks this man for his long–standing campus career and wishes him all the best in his retirement.
