Ryan Skywalk nearing completion
Alumni are in for yet another exciting change when they return to campus. Construction crews are hard at work on Ryan Skywalk, which will connect the University Center to the Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium. It is expected to be complete by Aug. 1.
The open–air pedestrian skywalk is expected to become a new campus icon, which will provide ease of access to suites and means of egress.
Gifts from trustee Cliff Ryan and his wife, Sig, of Naples, Fla., and alumnus and trustee Jack Shaw and his wife, Sue, of Coldwater, Mich., made the skywalk a reality.
Design Collaborative in Fort Wayne designed the skywalk, with Ron Dick serving as the lead architect.
The second phase of the project will permit additional handicap access to the stadium. For information about contributing to the project, contact Trine University senior vice president Michael Bock at firstname.lastname@example.org.
