The Trine University 2008 men’s cross country team returns three All-MIAA Second Team performers on their quest for a top finish in the conference. The women’s team will be fully staffed and reliant upon underclassmen to lead the way. [view more]

11.22 - Murray finishes 208th at Division III Nationals
Hanover - Trine Senior Tim Murray finished 208th at the NCAA Division III Nationals Saturday at Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. Murray finished with a time of 26 minutes, 17.23 seconds.

11.16 - Murray Qualifies for NCAA III Cross Country Championship
INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Tim Murray (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis) finished 18th overall in the in the Great Lakes cross country regional Saturday at Otterbein College. Murray was one of seven individuals to be selected to represent the MIAA this weekend at the Division III National Championships hosted by Hanover College. 11.15 Murray awaits potential NCAA entry
WESTVILLE, Ohio - Tim Murray finished 18th today for Trine at the NCAA Cross Country regional at Otterbein College in Ohio, running a time of 25:35.54, earning all-region honors and a possible berth for next week's national championships at Hanover College. [more]

10.18 - Cross Country Competes in Manchester Invitational
NORTH MANCHESTER - Trine men and women finished ninth and 12th respectively at the Manchester cross country Invitational Saturday.  Senior Tim Murray (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis) finished sixth (26:13.92) to lead the men.  Junior Chelsi Morey (Grand Blanc, Mich./Lake Fenton) finished 65th (26:21) to pace the women.

In the men’s race: Huntington won, followed by Manchester, Cornerstone, Anderson and MIAA rival Hope to round out the top five.  Trine finished with a score of 236.

In the women’s competition:  Cornerstone won, while MIAA foes Calvin and St. Mary’s , Anderson and Manchester finished completed the top five spots.   The Thunder scored 356. Trine returns to action Saturday morning in the MIAA Championships at Kalamazoo College.   

10.03 - Murray second at Great Lakes Championships
ADRIAN, Mich. - Trine men’ finished fifth and women runners were ninth in the Great Lakes Short and Long Course cross country championships Friday.  Tim Murray was second in the men’s long course finishing with a time of 26 minutes, 25 seconds. Justin Cochard was 22nd (29:23) and Travis Skaggs 24th (29:39).

In the short course, Darin King was 14th (16:50). Andrew Lehman was (17:04) 15th and Mark Brown (17:41) 21th.

For the women, Courtney Naveken was 28th in the short course (14:11); Hayley Verdieck (14:37) and Megan Rowe (14:46) were 30th and 31th respectively.

In the long course, trine was led by Chelsi Morey who finished 9th (24:35), 32nd Hanna Thomas (28:11) 32nd and Sara Tracey (31.25) 36th.

NOTRE DAME - Trine men finished fifth and the Thunder women finished eighth in MIAA Jamboree Saturday at St. Mary’s College. [view more]

09.19 - Trine women 20th, men 19th at State CC event
BLOOMINGTON -Trine runners competed with and against the best NCAA and NAIA Indiana college cross country programs have to offer Saturday at Indiana University.In the men’s open division Darrin King finished in thirty-first place with a time of 28:52, he ran at a pace of 5:50 mile.

09.05 - Trine strong at Jackson CC Invitational
JACKSON, Mich. - Men place third, women second at Jet cross country invitational. Chesi Morey and Tim Murray each finish fifth.[view more]

8.30 - Cross Country Runs to 4th Place in Goshen College Invite
In their first race of the year, the Trine University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Goshen College Hokum Karem. The men’s team scored thirty-three points, while the women’s team received twenty-nine, as both teams garnered a fourth place finish. [view more]
