Student Athletic Advisory Committee
Mission Statement
The mission of the Trine University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to further enhance the total student-athlete experience by allowing student-athletes an opportunity to be involved in the athletic governance process by promoting a positive student-athlete image, protecting student-athlete welfare, providing input into policies and procedures as well has providing an avenue for representation to the conference SAAC. The committee also serves as a liaison between the student-athletes and all others involved in Trine University athletics.
Sportsmanship Statement
Trine University student-athletes endorse ethical behavior and good sportsmanship by all student athletes, coaches and spectators, before, during and following an intercollegiate contest. The student-athletes of Trine value your positive, constructive and courteous support for both athletes and officials. Cheers and comments should encourage and not be degrading to opponents, fans, officials or any single individual.
Profanity, racial, ethnic, sexual comments, or other threatening actions will not be tolerated and are justification for instant removal from the competitive site. Trine University, in conjunction with the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, prohibits the use of noisemakers of any type indoors and does not allow whistles, drums, air horns or other high decibel noisemakers outdoors. The consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages and other drugs is prohibited.
