BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Rain delayed the start of today's MIAA Women's Golf Championship today at Bedford Valley Golf Course. Officials hope to complete the tournament in an 18-hole format Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday's forecast calls for Sunny skies and temperatures in the high 50s.
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - For the second tournament in a row, Trine's Becca Miller (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) finished in the top five. Thursday the senior shot an 83 to lead the Thunder to a fifth place finish in the MIAA Jamboree at Milham Golf Club. The Thunder finished fifth overall, shooting 373.
CLAYTON, Ind. - Becca Miller (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) finished four-strokes off the pace to finish in third place at the Small College Invitational Sunday .
The Thunder finished in 12th place shooting a 748 for the 36-hole event.
MARSHALL, Mich. - Katlyn Pero (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) shot a four-over par, 76 Thursday to share the top spot in the Albion MIAA Jamboree at the Medallist Golf Course. Trine finished fourth overall. Trine will be back in action this weekend at the Ball State Invitational. Check back for more details on Pero's performance at the jamboree.
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Becca Miller’s (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) push for medallist honors at the Olivet Fall Invitational fell short Saturday . The senior shot 75 to trail Amber Conrad of Olivet by just one stroke at the end of the Round One, but Miller lost ground in the final round shoot 80 to finish 155 for both days. Conrad finished with a 77 to finish with 151 for the event.
Trine climbed into sixth place shooting 360 on the second day, to finish with a two-day total of 715.
Amanda Mainstone (Battle Creek, Mich./Harper’s Creek) finished a tie for 28th. Katlyn Pero (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) was 41. Allie Buttery (Clarkston, Mich./Walled Lake Northern) was tied for 58th. Lauren Burns (Syracuse, Ind./Fairfield) was 76th.
Hope finished first, shooting 658 for the event, followed by Olivet (659), St. Francis (672), North Central (713). Albion was 11th (756), Alma 12th (781), Kalamazoo 13th (792), Calvin 14th (797) and Adrian 15th (827)
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - After one round, Trine is in seventh place atf the Olivet Fall Women’s Golf Invitational. The Thunder shot 355, just one stroke behind sixth-place Carthage College (354) and three strokes behind fifth-place Wheaton (351). Hope leads the 15 team event, shooting 331.
Becca Miller (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) is just one stroke off the pace at 75, trailing Amber Conrad of Olivet.
Action resumes Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
ANGOLA, Ind. - Trine was paced by Becca Miller (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) shooting 161 for the two day event. She shot 80 Saturday and 81 today.
Lyndsay McBride of the University of Indianapolis won medallist honors, finishing with an eight-over par, 148, besting Greyhound teammate Sarah Pracsak who shot 153. McBride led after the first round firing 75 and 73 today.
The Thunder shot 756 over the two days, to finish fourth overall.
"All things considered, we have a lot to work on, but we have
a good idea of where we go from here," Trine women’s golf coach Jennifer Lymangood said. "We need to remembered we are pretty young."
The Thunder is back in action Saturday at the Ferris State Fall Invitational.

ANGOLA, Ind. - Trine is in fourth-place after the first round of the Trine University Fall Women’s golf Invitational at Zollner Golf Course. Becca Miller (Logansport, Ind./Logansport) of Trine is tied for eighth, with a first-day total of 80.
The University of Indianapolis leads individually and as a team. Lyndsey McBride shot a first-day, five over-par 75 while Greyhound teammates Sarah Prascsak and Ashley Seaton are in third place shooting 76. Indianapolis leads with a 307, 14 strokes better than St. Mary’s (321) and well ahead of third-place Illinois Wesleyan (335). [Day One results]
