ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp (EMBHSSC)
Trine University is hosting 48 selected students for the ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp (EMBHSSC) in July 2009. This residential camp is completely free and will be held July 12-24, 2009. Funding for this is made possible by the ExxonMobil Foundation and the Harris Foundation.
ZooMania: Lions, Tigers, and Robots, Oh My! This camp will focus upon learning in the areas of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, communication, and nutrition. Students will learn about animals that survive in extreme environments and how inspiration is drawn from them to create robots that can perform tasks in extreme environments (where humans may or may not be able to go). Field excursions to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, the Public Safety Academy of Northeast Indiana, and Pokagon State Park are planned for the students.
Information about all 30 locations of the ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp is available on the national web site.
