At age 17, I embarked on a remarkable journey by joining the Army National Guard. Over the years, I dedicated myself to service and accomplished several significant milestones in my military career. With three combat deployments to the Middle East, including my most recent in 2019, I've earned a wealth of experience and expertise in service to my country. I retired from the military in November 2023 and remain active in veterans activities where I have been on the board of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association for multiple years.

My commitment to leadership led me to attend prestigious military academies and schools, such as the Army flight surgeons course at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and completing the demanding Army Ranger School, proudly earning my Ranger tab. I also pursued my education within the military, becoming a Physician Assistant.

My educational background is equally diverse. I hold a bachelor's degree in engineering from Purdue, and I spent 13 years working in that field. However, my first deployment to the Middle East inspired me to shift my career focus toward becoming a military Physician Assistant. This journey involved earning another bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the University of Nebraska.

With nine years of medical practice under my belt, I've had the privilege to serve in various medical specialties, including urgent care, cardiology, and pain management.

Beyond my professional life, I lead a fulfilling personal life. My wife and I share a passion for cycling and enjoy family game nights and movies. Personally, I'm an aficionado of sports cars and relish motorcycle touring.

Currently, I serve as the Program Director for the MPAS program. I have been with Trine University for more than 5 years and became the program director in Feb 2022. One of my greatest rewards is seeing students graduate and walk across the stage and join my chosen profession as Physician Assistants.
