Cancellations and Postponements

  • Hoosiers Girls State has been cancelled

 

  • 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has been rescheduled for Fri, Sept 25 - 7pm,  Sat, Sept 26 - 7pm, & Sun, Sept 27 - 3pm

 

  • Commencement, scheduled for May 2, has been canceled. Trine will host a Senior Celebration for the Class of 2020 at Homecoming, which will take place Oct. 9-11. Members of the Class of 2020 also will be invited to participate in an expanded fall graduation ceremony on Dec. 12.

  • In compliance with Gov. Eric Holcomb's stay-at-home order, Zollner Golf Course is closed through April 6.

  • We have received questions about the status of the Trine University 2020 graduation ceremonies and we will share a decision with you after the Executive Committee of the Trine University Board of Trustees takes up this matter next Tuesday, March 24.   We know students and families need to plan and prepare, and we will communicate the decision of the board immediately following the meeting.  We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate these challenging times.

  • The Mersey Beatles concert scheduled for May 16 has been postponed.

  • All external events on Trine's campus through the end of the spring semester (May 2) have been postponed or canceled.

  • Visit Day on Friday, March 20, has been postponed.

  • International Night on Saturday, April 21, has been canceled.

  • SOAR (Student Orientation and Registration) originally scheduled for April 4 will be postponed. New date will be determined at a later time.

  • The spring concerts for the Trine Wind Ensemble, Trine Jazz Ensembles, University Choir and Chamber Orchestra have been canceled.

  • Cheer Spring Clinic on March 29 has been canceled

  • Women’s Soccer Prospect Camp originally scheduled for May 3 has been postponed to July 25

  • All Open Skates are canceled until further notice.

  • Club Z and the Depot are closed until further notice. Whitney Dining Commons remains open until March 29, but is closed to the general public.

  • The following Trine University concerts have been postponed: Gordon Lightfoot, originally scheduled for April 2; ARISE 2020 tour, originally scheduled for April 10; the Lettermen, originally scheduled for April 17.

  • The remaining sessions of the SPEAK for the Earth Sustainability Summit have been canceled.

  • All youth hockey and Learn to Skate classes at Thunder Ice Arena are canceled through March 29.

  • The ARC is closed for all public use (including daily walkers) until further notice.

  • The Christian Campus House Annual Banquet on Saturday, March 28, has been canceled.

  • The Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences Etiquette Lunch on March 24 has been canceled.

  • The MIAA, which includes Trine University, has canceled all spring sporting events.

  • The Chemical Engineering Advisory Board Meeting in Zollner 201 on March 27 has been canceled.

  • The Trine University Choir performance with the choirs of the First Wayne Street United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne scheduled for March 22 has been canceled.

  • Boys high school lacrosse between Leo and Northridge on March 20 has been canceled.

  • High school track on March 14 (Hoosier State Relay Qualifier), March 17 (NECC Indoor Track and Field) and March 20 (Hoosier State Relay Qualifier) has been canceled.

  • Men's soccer prospect camps on March 15 and March 20 have canceled.

  • Men's basketball spring prospect camp on March 22 has been cancelled

  • Ticket sales for Poco and Atlanta Rhythm Section concerts in June have been postponed.
