Summary
Adjunct faculty has the responsibility for providing online instruction in the RN-BSN program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating a positive learning environment that prepares students for the complexities of today’s workplace
- Promote intellectual and personal development through personally focused learning opportunities, preparing students to succeed, lead and serve
- Perform duties including, but not limited to, the instruction and education of students
- Support student recruitment and retention efforts
- Work collegically with administrators and fellow Educators.
- Contribute to the development, review, and revision of program policies
Qualifications
Required:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years practice experience
- Possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- Possess a Master’s degree or higher in nursing (doctorate preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in nursing education
Preferred:
- PhD in Nursing, Education, or a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Successful academic experience: a minimum of two years
- Experience and/or certification in online instruction
- Nurse Educator certification (CNE)
- Strong organizational and computer skills
Salary
Salary is prorated based on the number of credit hours taught and the number of students registered for the class being taught.
