CGPS Regional Director of Admission
Fort Wayne, Indiana
The Regional Director of Admission has the direct responsibility for supervising, maintaining and planning the day-to-day admission operations of the regional campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the A.V.P. for Enrollment, but is largely self-supervising
and independent as it relates to development of new programs to impact new student
recruitment.
The Regional Director of Admission has the responsibility of attracting and recruiting
qualified undergraduate and graduate candidates who meet the admission requirements
of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies along with the development, implementation
and management of specific recruitment-related programs.
Working with the A.V.P., Dean of CGPS, and Director of the Education Center, the Regional
Director of Admission has the authority to negotiate tuition discounts, memorandums
of understanding, programmatic offerings, scheduling, training and development opportunities
with the leadership of regional community colleges; presidents/vice presidents/directors
of human resources at corporations, manufacturing centers, small businesses, etc.
The Regional Director has the autonomy to build both a daily and long term schedule
to appropriately cover the needs of the regional office, appointments with individuals
and groups externally from the office, as well as setting appointments with business
and organizational leaders.
A primary responsibility is one-to-one recruitment of prospective students in an assigned territory, from inquiry to enrollment, and may exercise independent discretion and judgement to accomplish these tasks.
The Regional Director of Admission assists the candidate in completing the application,
acquiring the necessary documents required for admission into the school, and guiding
them on financial aid availability and processing. In addition, upon completion of
the application process, and a thorough analysis of the candidate’s credentials, the
director makes the final recommendation to admit, deny or extend conditional admission
to the candidate.
The Regional Director will confer with the A.V.P. to plan, implement and evaluate
all programs and efforts, which seek to enroll an academically talented and culturally
diverse student body. Working with the A.V.P., the director annually develops, implements
and manages the center’s promotional budget.
Annually, along with close consultation with the CGPS Education Center's Director,
the Regional Director of Admission is responsible for providing the A.V.P. with a
comprehensive marketing plan to recruit new students, which thoroughly analyzes and
assesses the Trine regional education center market and concludes with the director’s
realistic and “stretch” goal projections. It is from this invaluable exercise that
the Director takes ownership of achieving the center’s enrollment goals, thus ensuring
the viability of the center’s expenditure on faculty and staff.
The Regional Director will also develop, along with the Education Center Director,
