Summary
This position has the responsibility of identifying and cultivating new relationships for the University. This position will serve as the main point of contact for each of the K-12 events and other outreach programs. This position will assist in developing the program’s strategic plan, working administrators, teachers, parents, and students to advance campus outreach and cultivation. This person must be able to work within the community and beyond to develop partnerships for the growth. The Coordinator of K-12 Partnerships, Outreach, and Events must have a broad understanding of appropriate academic programs and potential future directions; be flexible, visionary, creative and energetic and, possess a demonstrated capacity to lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates K-12 on campus events, camps and other outreach programs.
- Serves as the main point of contact for each of the events in coordination of the Director.
- Coordinates within the local community to develop partnerships for outreach and growth and be willing to travel within the various regions of the state.
- Provides ongoing customer service for students, parents, and partnering schools.
- Assists in the development and marketing of programs to K-12 partners, including administrators, teachers, parents, and students to advance campus outreach and cultivation.
- Collaborates with our partner schools pursuing growth within the school and maintaining a positive relationship.
- Seeks and assists in the development of grant opportunities that support outreach effort.
- Professional development - stays current in the recruiting and admissions field by reading publications, attending conferences, and participating in professional organizations and networks.
- Be flexible with evening and weekend hours for events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree required and a master’s degree preferred. Preference will be given candidates who have attended an independent, accredited college or university.
Salary
The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
