Summary

The Dual Enrollment/Transfer Coordinator will assist in developing the transfer and dual enrollment program’s strategic plan. This person also works with high school administrators, teachers, and students as well as potential transfer students to provide excellent customer serviced and implement the program’s strategic plans.  This position requires an individual who can provide academic and professional expertise.  This individual must be able to work within the community and beyond to develop new and existing partnerships, and be willing to travel extensively in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. The Dual Enrollment/Transfer Coordinator must be flexible, visionary, creative and energetic and, possess a demonstrated capacity to lead.

 Essential Dual Enrollment Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up registration days with partnering high schools.
  • Travel to partnering schools and assist students with registration.
  • Collect Student Agreement Forms, transcripts, and registration forms from students and high schools.
  • Provide ongoing customer service for students, parents, and partnering schools.
  • Travel to partnering schools to present honor cords at high school honor programs
  • Territory management and travel to community colleges, transfer fairs, and related recruitment programs.
  • Develop and market new programs and partnerships to high school administrators.
  • Responsible for creating an annual transfer admission marketing plan.
  • Assist with professional development content and facilitating professional development days for both spring and summer.
  • Provides class rosters to dual enrollment instructors and guidance counselors.
  • Conduct appropriate research on dual enrollment schools to establish and track goals and objectives.
  • Conduct observations in dual enrollment classrooms to determine course rigor, classroom preparation, and student engagement.
  • Assist with student and instructor issues and concerns

Essential Transfer Enrollment Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses Slate to process and maintain student applications and track materials.
  • Provides class rosters to dual enrollment instructors and guidance counselors.
  • Utilize Slate to process and maintain transfer student applications and upload evaluations.
  • Responsible for maintaining communication with prospective transfer students.
  • Meet with prospective transfer students and their families for individual campus visits
  • Attend recruitment events, Visit Days, SOAR, Scholarship Day and Saturday office coverage.
  • Assist, as others in the department do, to evaluate dual credit, AP exams & college transcripts for an assigned territory for transfer credit.
  • Communicate results of transfer credit evaluation to the student.
  • Evaluate high school transcript for student dual enrollment program approval and prepare completed transfer credit evaluation for the Registrar’s Office.
  • Assist Admission Counselors with visits/questions from families regarding dual credit and transferability of courses.
  • Maintain transfer credit evaluation completed files.
  • Stay current in the transfer recruiting and admissions field by reading publications, attending conferences, and participating in professional organizations and networks associated with dual enrollment.
  • Works closely with the Registrar to ensure students registered.
  • Provide program planning for transfer students.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree required.  Preference will be given candidates who have attended an independent, accredited college or university.
