Summer Frenzy part of Indiana Private College week
ANGOLA, Ind. – Trine University is joining 30 other private, nonprofit colleges and universities in the state to observe Indiana Private College Week. As part of the fun, prospective students who visit an ICI school may enter to win one of three Amazon Kindles.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence signed a proclamation to set the special week for July 22-26. The proclamation cites the productivity of Indiana's independent sector of higher education. Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) campuses enroll 20 percent of the state's undergraduates and annually grant 35 percent of all bachelor degrees in Indiana. The majority of students enrolled in ICI schools graduates within four years and begins to contribute immediate to Indiana's economy. Also cited is the distinctive role that each of the 31 campuses play in the education and cultural advancement of Indiana.
Trine is participating in the special week with Summer Frenzy Visit Day on Friday, July 26. Prospective students and their families are invited to meet coaches and music faculty, learn about academic programs, meet experts in admission and financial aid, tour the campus and enjoy lunch in Trine's Whitney Commons. Participation is free. For more information and to register, visit trine.edu/visitday, or call 800.347.4878.
