Storm's Challenge 5k fundraiser set for Saturday at Trine

As a descriptive word, "academics" doesn't do much in the way of expressing what learning at Trine is really like. Here, knowledge is lived. Our students and faculty put their knowledge to work in ways that solve real problems facing real communities throughout Indiana, across the region, and around the world. At Trine you'll see that learning is never some static thing. It's what challenges and inspires us all at once.

V Foundation for Cancer Research
to benefit from homecoming event

Walkers and runners are invited to participate in Storm’s Challenge for the V Foundation on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Trine University.

The 5k event begins at 8 a.m. in front of the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center with registration at 7 a.m. under the Ryan Skywalk.

Cost to enter is $10 and each participant will receive a T-shirt.

The event is organized and sponsored by the brothers of Delta Chi and is a part of Trine homecoming festivities. For more information about the race and homecoming activities, visit trine.edu/homecoming.

Last year, more than 130 runners and walkers participated in the inaugural Storm’s Challenge and raised over $3,500 for the V Foundation for Cancer Research

The V Foundation (jimmyv.org), formed by ESPN and Jim Valvano in 1993, has awarded more than $100 million to more than 100 facilities nationwide and awards 100 percent of direct donations and net event proceeds to cancer research.
