Trine to hold Halloween event at Ridenour Acres
Trick-or-treating, a costume contest, a corn maze and hay rides will be part of the second annual Halloween with Trine University event from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Ridenour Acres, 2935 C.R. 20N, Angola.
Sponsored by Trine University’s College of Graduate and Professional Studies, the event is free to the first 175 guests who bring a flier; regular admission is $7. Fliers will be available at local elementary schools and several area businesses, as well as Trine University’s Angola Education Center, 1107 W. Maumee St.
The first 50 children to arrive in costume will receive free pumpkins.
Children can bring a bag for trick-or-treating. Activities also will include a costume contest, the 11-acre corn maze and hay rides. The theme for this year’s corn maze is childhood cancer awareness.
Information will be available about programs in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, which offers associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs for adult learners in classroom, online, distance learning and hybrid formats, in many cases allowing adults to complete a degree within one year.
