'Pyro poet' to light up Humanities Symposia

The third week of Trine University’s Humanities Symposia will feature a presentation of poetry by Tiff Beatty beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, in Wells Theatre, Taylor Hall.

Beatty is the senior program manager of the Chicago Humanities Festival and teaches her craft to an array of Chicago educational and community organizations. She is often referred to as “The Pyro Poet Tiff Beatty.” During her presentation, she will display her fiery, distinctive style of spoken word artistry to Trine University.

The free talks, scheduled each Tuesday through April 11, are open to everyone. Trine students get CHAT credit for attending. Talks usually last about 30 minutes and are followed by a time for questions.
