Get creative and enter the Innovation Challenge at Trine University
Don’t miss the chance to enter Trine University’s Innovation Challenge presented by Fifth Third Bank, Greater Indiana. The challenge is an opportunity to win cash prizes for a new idea or improved concept for business or technology.
Applications are being accepted through Jan. 11, 2019, so creative thinkers have plenty of time to get into the contest. The Innovation Challenge is open to students, faculty and staff at Trine as well as members of the community.
Competition categories include the Best Business Idea as well as the Best Innovation/Invention. There is no entry fee or age restriction. Besides the opportunity to win a cash prize and advance an idea or concept, the contest offers the opportunity to meet other innovators and inventors.
For the technology category, participants are encouraged to think about technological inventions or advances. Entries in the business category should focus on a new business idea or service.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first and second place in each category. First place is worth $3,000, with $1,000 awarded for second. Cash prizes are unrestricted, so winners may use the money to advance their idea or invest it another way.
The Innovation Challenge Expo is open to the public and will be held Feb. 15, 2019, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James University Center. Each Innovation Challenge finalist project will be on display during this time, and awards will be presented for each category.
