Road maintenance scheduled near Trine campus

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that roadway maintenance and repair is planned for I-69 and U.S. 20 in Steuben County beginning today, Aug. 27, or after, weather permitting.

As part of this work, deep patching and road resurfacing on U.S. 20/West Maumee Street near the Trine University campus is expected to begin Sept. 4 and be completed before Sept. 19. There will be a flagging operation to maintain traffic.

INDOT contractors E&B Paving plan to begin performing roadway maintenance on the following locations in Steuben County:

  • I-69 between mile marker 354/Indiana Toll Road and the Michigan State Line
  • U.S. 20 between S.R. 327 to S.R. 127

During the day, drivers should watch for lane restrictions, stopped traffic and flaggers directing traffic through in the work zone. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active construction zone.

The maintenance contract was awarded to E&B Paving for $536,000. Work on both locations is expected to be completed by early October.
