CGPS collecting donations to help alumna who lost home to fire

The College of Graduate and Professional Studies is collecting items or cash donations for the family of an alumna who lost everything in a house fire on Tuesday morning, Jan. 29.

Firefighters arrived to find the two-story Camden, Michigan, home of Adelle Woodard, who graduated in December 2014 with an applied management degree, completely engulfed in flames. Family members and pets escaped safely.

Donations can be dropped off at Capri Hall, 1107 W. Maumee St., Angola, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Feb. 14. Suggested items include:

  • Women’s size 12 pants and XL shirts
  • Boys size 9 shirts and pants and size 4-1/2 shoes
  • Canned food
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Trash bags
  • Laundry detergent
  • Socks
  • Pillows
  • Blankets
  • Tupperware
  • Totes
