Florida Golf Classic raises $32,000 for Trine scholarships

LONGBOAT KEY, Fla. — Trine University’s 11th annual Scholarship Golf Classic and Alumni Reception, which took place Jan. 24, raised $32,000 for student scholarships.

“The annual Scholarship Golf Classic offers not only the opportunity for alumni and friends of the university to enjoy camaraderie and a beautiful setting for golf, but the chance to support worthy students,” said Earl D. Brooks II, Ph.D., Trine University president. “With more than $31 million of institutional aid offered each year, scholarships are a vital part of keeping a Trine education affordable.”

The winners were the Members Club of Marco, made up of Keith Turner ’76, Stuart Wiseley ’09, Phil Ott and Todd Evans.
