Main campus opening delayed to 9:30 a.m.

Steuben County remains under an orange (watch) weather advisory. To give area road departments additional time to clear travel lanes, Trine University will delay its start today, Feb. 16, with 8 a.m. classes taking place virtually and main campus opening at 9:30 a.m., when employees are expected to report to work.

Under an orange (watch) advisory, travel to work is permitted and businesses and educational institutions are free to make their own decisions about attendance. Employees should travel with caution as necessary. Employees living in other counties under travel warnings or those in remote areas where driving is treacherous should contact their immediate supervisor for guidance.

Decisions on whether staff should report to Trine University’s main campus during a weather event are based on guidance from Steuben County authorities, using standards established by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
