A Trine University faculty member recently had a paper published in a mathematics
journal.
“On the Euclidean Algorithm: Rhythm Without Recursion,” by Thomas Morrill, Ph.D., assistant professor of mathematics, was published Sept. 22 in the Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society. The work concerns a deep connection between ancient Greek mathematics, digital graphics rendering and music composition.

Published by Cambridge University Press, the Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society publishes original, peer-reviewed research in all branches of mathematics.

The Outlaws will cap off the summer season for Trine University’s T. Furth Center for Performing Arts, bringing their unique brand of Southern Rock to the stage on Saturday, Aug. 19.

Rachel Troutman, a Trine University graduate who has gone on to a successful marketing leadership career, will return to her alma mater as vice president for university marketing and communications, effective June 8.
