Associate of General Studies
An Associate of general studies allows you to build a broad-based education. It teaches you to think critically, communicate effectively, and pull together knowledge from many disciplines – skills you'll need to be successful in any career.
General studies can be a rewarding degree because it is broad, and is a good stepping stone for future degrees. It's a good choice for you if you're looking to pave your own path, or create your own learning experience.
The Associate of general studies requires 60 credit hours.
General Education - 22 credit hours
ENG 103 English Composition I
ENG 113 English Composition II
ENG 133 Technical Communication
or COM 213 Business Communication
Math elective - 3 credit hours
Science elective - 3 credit hours
Social Science elective - 3 credit hours
Humanities elective - 3 credit hours
General Education elective - 4 credit hours
Content Requirement - 37 credit hours
37 credit hours, to include at least 9 hours earned in each of the two academic departments
Additional Requirements - 1 credit hour
UE 101 University Experience - 1 credit hour
