As a descriptive word, "academics" doesn't do much in the way of expressing what learning at Trine is really like. Here, knowledge is lived. Our students and faculty put their knowledge to work in ways that solve real problems facing real communities throughout Indiana, across the region, and around the world. At Trine you'll see that learning is never some static thing. It's what challenges and inspires us all at once.

When we talk "academics," it's more than a word. It has no limits. And since we were founded, it never has.

An Exceptional Reputation

Year after year, our undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs are recognized by U.S. News & World Report and the Princeton Review as among the best of any college in the Midwest. Our programs in engineering, education, business, arts and sciences and health science are acclaimed nationally. And our cast metals program was ranked as the best undergraduate cast metals program in the nation by the Foundry Education Foundation.

A World of Opportunities

Learning at Trine takes all kinds of forms. You'll go beyond classrooms and labs and have daily opportunities to breathe life into the knowledge and skills you're developing. Through internships and co-ops with leading organizations and companies, study abroad opportunities on virtually any continent, and an Honors Program that takes learning to even greater heights, you'll be empowered to mold the experience around your interests.

A Legacy of Success

With more than 25,000 alumni getting it done at the highest levels around the world, Trine knows a thing or two about success. Approximately 98.8 percent of Trine graduates find employment or are in graduate school within six months of graduation.

An online platform is available to all Trine University students to showcase their accomplishments in and out of the classroom through a service called Merit. The setup is simple: Trine University publishes your accomplishments (like making the dean’s list, joining a choir or receiving a scholarship) to your own personal Merit page. As new achievements, in the form of badges, are awarded, you are notified via email.

Once you claim your page, you can choose to share your accomplishments through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and a variety of other platforms and a link can be included on your resume as it provides a verified list of achievements that were awarded during your college career. Merit also creates personalized press releases that are sent to local newspapers and websites across the country promoting achievements in students’ home areas.
