Meet Sarah Belote
For former Thunder softball standout Sarah Belote, being an admission counselor at Trine is a natural fit. A May 2013 graduate of Trine, being a part of the admission team allows her to continue to enjoy the small school atmosphere while sharing first-hand experience with prospective students.
"My favorite part about Trine was the last thing I expected to fall in love with," Sarah says. "Originally, I wanted to go to a Division 1 school. After visiting Trine, I fell in love with the small school environment. I know that Trine was a good choice for me because I still maintain close relationships with all of my professors and classmates. Trine is one big happy family!
Sarah's love of athletics is obvious as she majored in sport management and was co-captain of Trine's championship softball team. In May 2013, for the second straight season, Sarah was named MIAA Most Valuable Position Player for her work as a catcher. As a student-employee, she worked in the athletic training program and was an intern for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. A favorite Bronson (Mich.) High School teacher, Jeff Gallup, helped prepare her to handle a busy schedule because "he did a great job of pushing me to my limits and making me put my best possible work forward each time," Sarah said.
She still nurtures that spirit to excel and plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in marketing from Trine.
When it's time to relax, Sarah likes to listen to rap, hip hop and old school R&B and has recently added country to the mix.
Whether you want to talk sports, campus life or music, Sarah is ready to help you explore the possibilities at Trine University
