Summary

The Office of Enrollment Management seeks a qualified admission professional to fill a Senior Admission Coordinator’s position.  This position has the responsibility of attracting and recruiting new students to Trine University, along with the development, implementation and management of specific recruitment-related programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Admission Counselor

This position reports directly to the Ass’t V.P. for Enrollment Management.  The Senior Admission Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to assume coordination of admission recruitment support including liaison to the DPT/PA and the School of Health Sciences.  When called upon, the coordinator will fill in for the admission counseling staff (incl. the Saturday cycle) and meet prospective students/applicants, and make presentations on the University (i.e. financial aid, high school visits, and coverage of college fair programs).  Will assist with applicant document processing (i.e. transcripts & test scores).  Coordinate and manage travel accommodations for admission staff.  Work with the faculty to maintain open lines of communication with class registration and marketing, and be the primary admission coordinator for the annual SOAR event. 

Annually, the senior admission coordinator is responsible for providing the Dean of Admission with a comprehensive marketing plan to recruit new students, which thoroughly analyzes and assesses Trine’s inquiry communication programs and concludes with the coordinator’s realistic and “stretch” goal projections.   

This person also assists with group campus visitation programs (e.g. open houses), staff and student employee training, website monitoring and maintenance and campus tour program.  The senior admission coordinator has a limited responsibility for assisting the Dean in planning, implementation and evaluation of all programs and efforts, which seek to enroll an academically talented and culturally diverse student body.  Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Admission.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, private, four-year college or university is required, and a graduate degree is preferred (or has accomplished graduate level work).  Admission experience is desired.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have an appreciation for the value of a comprehensive, pre-professional, engineering and sciences education, a valid driver’s license, enthusiasm for and ability to do limited travel, experience and skill working with computers and software programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jenzabar/EX, etc.), and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
