Meet Lauren Hood
Lauren is a 2014 Trine grad who found her way back home after a year-long educational experience in Houston, Texas. While at Trine, she participated in vocal music ensembles, founded the Trine University chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, traveled to Europe on the maiden voyage of the Global Health May-mester course, and was co-captain of the women’s lacrosse team.
As an admission counselor, Lauren values the opportunity to share all things Trine with prospective students.Trine was not initially on Lauren’s radar, but she was captivated by the beauty of the campus and individualized attention she received during and after her first visit. She was astounded with the substantial investment of time and energy the faculty made for her, and constantly felt valued and supported during her tenure as a student.
“The small classes and personalized environment cultivated a desire to continue striving for success”, she says. Lauren is eager to share her experiences and to help give prospective students the same incredible opportunities a Trine education has provided for her.
When she’s not in the admission office, Lauren enjoys traveling, floating on one of Steuben County’s 101 lakes, reading non-fiction science, and cooking. Asparagus, pretzels and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream are some of her top food choices.
Lauren is happy to answer any and all questions prospective students and families may have about Trine University.
