With Trine University's online certificate in accounting, students will be prepared for a variety of jobs in public accounting, private industry, government and non-profit organizations. Students will explore various topics in accounting, including: the processing of accounting information, accrual accounting, budgeting, comprehensive accounting theory and practice, basic concepts of tax law, and income tax preparation and research. Additionally, students will develop their accounting skills by using tools to complete the accounting cycle, including software applications. This certificate program will prepare students to advance in the workforce or to pursue a degree. Required coursework for the Accounting Certificate can be applied towards the Bachelor of Science in business administration – accounting major program.
Outcomes:
