Organizations across multiple industries seek leaders who are able to diagnose problems, motivate and inspire employees, implement change and devise innovative solutions to problems. The Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership degree provides you with the skill set to fulfill that role in corporate and nonprofit sectors.
You can earn an optional Industrial Leadership Specialization to your Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership degree by taking the following courses: Environmental Health and Safety, Supervision, Facility Management, Organizational Behavior and Principles of Project Management.
You also have an option to earn graduate credit toward the Lou Holtz Master of Science in Organizational Leadership while working on this bachelor's degree. Through this combined degree program, you can finish both degrees in just four years and save up to $8,625!
The Experience
As a student in online Organizational Leadership program, you will focus on organizational innovation, team dynamics, organizational culture and diversity, influence and motivation, conflict resolution and leadership communication. You will identify and demonstrate critical behaviors that can positively impact your ability to lead and influence your organizations' members.
This program also gives you the added benefit of completing your degree without paying for textbooks in your core classes. This Z Degree, the national designation for such programs, utilizes Open Educational Resources (OER), library databases and faculty-developed content and/or zero-cost resources.
The Results
Trine University will prepare learners enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership (BSOL) program for leadership roles in corporate and non-profit sectors. Organizations in a variety of industries seek leaders who can diagnose problems, motivate and inspire employees, implement change, and create innovative solutions to problems. In keeping with the mission of Trine University to "succeed, lead and serve," BSOL students will identify and exemplify leadership theories that can be applied to today's increasingly complex organizational environments. These theories will allow learners to utilize evidence-based leadership competencies including: critical thinking, interpersonal relations, decision-making and problem solving. In addition, the curriculum focuses on organizational innovation, team dynamics, organizational culture and diversity, influence and motivation, conflict resolution, and leadership communication preparing students to enter or advance in the workforce, further their education, and/or make a positive impact in their communities.
