Inspirational Innovation

We will be innovative in our approach to education and train our students to be innovators in their chosen fields.

Student Design and Training Center

All of Trine’s senior design projects include a build portion to validate their design, with the majority of physical builds taking place in the Student Design Center. As Trine has continued to enjoy record enrollment, the number of senior design teams has grown. A new Student Design Center will not only provide space for more and larger projects, it will feature state-of-the-art design and fabrication equipment to better meet the needs of student teams and industry partners.

Shambaugh-to-Taylor Extension

Thanks to faculty and curriculum that prepare students to become educators who make an impact on the lives of their students, Trine University’s Franks School of Education continues to experience record enrollment. In addition, the Trine Broadcasting Network shares a growing number of athletic, cultural and academic events with student families, alumni and the community. The new addition connecting Shambaugh and Taylor halls will provide more space for quality teacher education programs as well as broadcasting studios.

Western Gateway

A new west entrance will provide a beautiful gateway to Trine University for traffic heading east on U.S. 20 from Interstate 69, eliminating the current need to travel through residential areas to access athletic events and residence facilities.

Campus expansion

As Trine University adds more students and academic programs, our space needs continue to grow. To maintain and enhance our campus environment, we need to strategically acquire property for additional expansion, add to our Angola campus parking capacity and provide open areas for student recreation.
