TrineOnline - Humanities
MA, Indiana University
I got my start in teaching as an EFL instructor in South Korea. That experience helped spark my interest in travel, culture, and communication, leading me back to the US to pursue a master's degree in journalism at Indiana University-Bloomington. I'm now a photojournalist based in Japan, and an instructor for TrineOnline.
The thing I value most about teaching for TrineOnline is the chance to meet students from all walks of life, each one of whom has made a commitment to learning. It's my job to help them translate that commitment into success in a rapidly evolving job market. I take real pride in doing this job, and in seeing students face challenges head on.
Being a passionate learner myself, I'm currently studying Japanese language, as well as fine art photo printing. When I'm not teaching, studying or shooting, I'm spending time with my wife Aya and our two sons, Taro and Eijiro. We enjoy camping, swimming and train trips.
