My desire for teaching began when I was a young child. I saw the passion that my teachers had for their work. Additionally, many of my teachers had an impact on my life. I wanted to have a similar impact on my students.

During college, I fell in love with radio broadcast and audio production. I worked at WMCO 90.7, Muskingum University’s campus radio station. During that time, I became fascinated with news media. As the News Director of the station, I had the privilege of interviewing people such as John Tesh (nationally syndicated radio host) and John Glenn (former US Senator and first American to orbit the earth).

Throughout my 13-year career teaching at the university level, I have had the opportunity to teach numerous classes in Communication. Some of my favorite classes to teach include Audio Production, Intercultural Communication, Media Writing, Public Speaking, Interviewing Principles, and Media Literacy.

Outside of the classroom, I love finding new coffee shops to hang out in. I also enjoy playing video games and streaming on Twitch.
