I'm an Assistant Professor of management in Trine University's Ketner School of Business. My teaching philosophy is grounded in an idea often attributed to Confucius: "Tell me and I'll forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I'll understand." The attribution is disputed, but the principle holds: I believe students learn by doing.

I bring 20+ years of experience as a business leader, founder, educator, learning designer and musician. My career includes building organizations, teams and products across corporate and startup environments, with specialties in strategy, analytics, technology, operations, leadership and decision-making. I began teaching through music and believe business, like music, is learned through practice, feedback, discipline and reflection.

Outside the classroom, I'm a fourth-generation Cubs fan, enjoy reading and practicing nonfiction books and love spending time with my wife and three kids.
