Although I am new to Indiana, I’ve been teaching nursing for 17 years. I’m certified as a CPR instructor and in Teaching English as a Second Language, two roles that have opened the door to meaningful experiences to serve my community through the years.

Throughout my nursing career, I have cared for medical-surgical patients, women and families experiencing childbirth, and children and teenagers in summer camp environments. Caring for individuals who were both well and ill, alongside their families, has strengthened my commitment to holistic, patient-centered care that values support systems as essential partners in care. I seek to teach the next generation of nurses to approach each patient with competence, compassion and care. I love seeing student nurses grow in their knowledge and confidence as they make progress from day one student nurse to graduate nurse. It is such a privilege to be a part of that process!

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me playing board games, putting together puzzles, baking, planning my next trip or enjoying time with family and friends.
