I joined Trine University's Physician Assistant program in October 2025. I currently teach Clinical Skills I, Evidence Based Practice II and III, and the Behavioral Health and Women's Health Clinical Practicum courses.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in nutritional sciences with a minor in chemistry from Northern Arizona University in 1997 and my Master of Science in physician assistant practice from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2002. After graduation, I returned home to Arizona, where I practiced family medicine for over a decade. During this time, I had the privilege of precepting second-year PA students, an experience that sparked my passion for PA education.
In 2015, I transitioned to full-time academia at A.T. Still University (ATSU) in Mesa, AZ, serving as a clinical coordinator, later as director of clinical education and most recently as course director for the year-long CARE series. In 2023, I completed my Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) at ATSU, where my doctoral work focused on leadership and workforce development for physician assistants in community health centers.
With more than two decades of experience as both a clinician and educator, I am passionate about preparing compassionate, community-minded PAs who are ready to serve and lead in diverse healthcare settings.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family, including my husband, Boris, two sons, Paul and Denver, and a small rescue dog named Addie.
