I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedarville University and a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in nursing education from the University of Phoenix. I am currently pursuing a PhD in nursing education at Liberty University.
My career as a registered nurse began in the critical care arena, where I gained deep insight into the clinical, emotional, and human aspects of nursing. That experience continues to guide my mission as an educator: to prepare nursing students who are not only clinically competent but also compassionate and patient-centered in their care.
Outside of my academic and professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially visiting my children and their spouses in Minnesota and Oregon. I’m a proud grandmother, with one beautiful granddaughter and two more grandbabies on the way. I’m also an avid baseball fan (Go, Phillies!), a national parks enthusiast, a lover of early American antiques, and a devoted coffee connoisseur. At home, my husband and I share our life with our cat, Gracie, who keeps us on our toes.
