At an early age, I was fascinated with the natural world. I loved to be outside exploring and collecting cool stuff like shells, feathers, butterfly wings and anything else I could find left behind by a living creature. As a young adult, I felt the passion to pursue a career as a biologist. My career journey has been diverse. I have worked in public education, in research and diagnostic laboratories, and in agriculture working with small farms.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to immerse myself in diverse cultures and try new and interesting food! I also like to bike, hike, and spend time with my family when I am not working with my partner on our small berry farm in Fort Wayne.
