Associate in Science

Trine University Student Achievements A total of 60 hours are required to earn an associate in science. To be eligible for an associate in science, a student must earn a minimum of  the last 16 credits at Trine.

Two associate degrees may be received at the same time, provided all requirements for both degrees have been met, and the student has earned a minimum of 16 credit hours more than the degree with the lower minimum hour requirement.

General Education Requirements - 22 credit hours 

Mathematics Elective - 3 credit hours
Lab Science Elective - 4 credit hours
Social Sciences Elective - 3 credit hours
Humanities Elective - 3 credit hours
ENG 103 English Composition I
ENG 113 English Composition II
   OR ENG 133 Technical Communication
General Education Elective - 3 credit hours

Content Requirements - 20 credit hours

Student must complete an area of emphasis which includes 20 total hours in either a science discipline or mathematics. 

Additional Requirements – 18 credit hours

UE 101 University Experience
Unrestictive Electives - 17 credit hours
