Leaving high school, I knew I wanted to go to a bigger school and that I wanted to pursue physical therapy. I knew this was the right path for me to be grow and provide me with the opportunity to help people.

" This place has brought so many things into my life that other programs could not have: clinical placements within a week of being at school, a family of 35 students who continue to support each other through the ups and downs of PT school, and a faculty full of intelligent and invested professors who look at each of us not as students, but as future co-workers. "- Parker Hirsch

With both my parents and my sister being alumni, I submitted a single college application and enrolled at Indiana University. Courses were very challenging, and the hardest part was seeking the proper help. Many of my classes were lectures with 200 to 300 students, so having a one-on-one meeting with the professor was often not an option.

While compared to many other students at schools of this size my GPA of 3.5 was well above average, within the applicant pool for physical therapy programs this was on the lower end. I struggled to cope with the growing reality that my dream would be denied. I found Trine University and with its rolling admission I was able to submit an application that same day.

A few weeks later, I received an email to interview at Trine’s DPT program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. At my interview I was greeted by a group of students. What stood out to me was how well these students knew each other, especially between first- and second-year students. A couple of days later I received an offer to join the Trine DPT Class of 2021, and I have never looked back.

Struggling to find a Doctor of Physical Therapy program after finishing his undergraduate degree at Indiana University, Parker Hirsch took advantage of Trine University's rolling admission.

If you are looking into physical therapy schools, I highly encourage you to look into Trine University and, like me, never look back!
