Delta Mu Delta
Mission Statement:
Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at qualifying colleges and universities to create a DMD community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership.
History:
Delta Mu Delta was founded by the Dean from Harvard University and four professors from Yale University and New York University in November 1913. Incorporated in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1952, Delta Mu Delta is the International Honor Society for business programs accredited by the ACBSP at the baccalaureate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
The Gamma Theta Chapter of DMD was established on March 23, 2004 at what was known at the time as Tri-State University. Delta Mu Delta is a prestigious society that encourages higher scholarship and recognizes and rewards scholastic achievement in business administration programs.
In order to be inducted to Delta Mu Delta, a student must have completed one-half of the work towards his/her degree (must be considered a Junior or Senior). Additionally the student must be in the top 20% of his/her college class with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
