Student Event Submissions

Is your organization hosting a student event? Submit your information below to promote it!

Slide Specifications:

Screen Size: 1920 x 1080 pixels. (Use “Presentation”/ “16:9 ratio”)
File Format: “.JPG” or “.PNG” is the only file type accepted for posting. 
Fonts: Choose straight edge fonts like Calibri, New Hero, Gotham, etc. Avoid fonts that are difficult to read such as cursive.
Date/Time/Location of Event: Clearly display the date, time and location of the event to provide essential information to viewers.
Logos/Colors: Avoid overwhelming the screen with excessive logos and multiple colors.
ADA Compliance: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that digital signage be accessible to everyone, including individuals with visual impairments.

Submit Event

Please ensure that your slides adhere to the specified size, file format, branding guidelines, and ADA compliance requirements. Slides that do not meet these standards will need to be resubmitted, which may delay the promotion of your event.

Display Duration: Slides will NOT be showcased for more than two weeks at a time. Recommended to be up at least one week prior to event.

Promotion Eligibility: Thundercast slides are reserved exclusively for all STUDENT events. Student events are defined as events open to ALL students, taking place on Trine Universities main campus. Exclusive events for a small group is not considered a student event. “Follow us on __.” “Our office hours are __” are not ideal for Thundercast. 

Student Government Sponsored Events: MUST be in good standing with Student Government and display the appropriate logo to have their events advertised on the digital screens.

Prohibited Content: To maintain the university's reputation and adhere to our event guidelines, Thundercast slides may not be used for the promotion of:
Non-campus/university events or sponsorships of businesses. Even if they are sponsors of your event, please note Trine University does not endorse anyone; consider alternative methods to acknowledge event sponsors.
